Rome's Direct Line to Devens
Rome tells Drew he's built real trust with Devens dating back to early in the game, and claims Devens told him outright he's not a target.
Rome: "He said, hey, I want you to know, like, I trust you fully. Like, if there's no shot, you're going down the block. He said that to me directly."
Drew backs up that the trust runs both ways.
Drew: "I think he both, he likes both of us a lot."
The Pitch: Protect Four, Not Two
Rome shifts from his own safety to the bigger picture, telling Drew he wants to extend that same security to Melody and Lyric.
Rome: "The big thing is that I need to keep you three safe too."
Drew agrees this needs to happen, framing it as mutual.
Drew: "And it's obviously likewise."
The Weak Spot
Despite the plan, Rome is upfront that Melody and Lyric don't have the same relationship with Devens that he and Drew do, calling it a real vulnerability heading into the week.
Rome: "I think the girls are in trouble. Because I don't think Melody barely even knows him."
Closing the Loop on Have-Nots
The conversation shifts briefly to the upcoming have-not twist, with Rome relaying advice he says came from Angela about staying quiet during it.
Rome: "That's what Angela said. She's like, if they don't say anything, just don't say anything."
Rome wraps the conversation with a direct commitment to Drew about protecting the group through the week.
Rome: "So I'm gonna try my best to keep you and those two as safe as I possibly can."
