Devens wastes no time getting into game talk with Rome, floating a nomination scenario almost immediately after the win.
Devens: "Probably need you to go up as a pawn."
Rome doesn't push back in the moment, instead pivoting to ask about someone else on his mind.
Where Does Lyric Stand?
Rome asks Devens directly where Lyric falls in his plans, a notable question given Rome and Lyric's showmance.
Rome: "Where does Lyric fall in your play?"
Devens admits he's genuinely unsure, and reveals some frustration that Lyric hasn't given him useful information despite chances to.
Devens: "I gave her so many opportunities to give me anything, and she didn't... I really don't know."
He tells Rome he'd rather get into it more once they have privacy, and Dee steps in to pull the conversation elsewhere.
Rome Plays Nice
Before the conversation moves, Rome congratulates Devens on the win and voices confidence in his position.
Rome: "Congratulations, though, big dog... I think you're set."
